I purchased my pool route from another broker. Once the deal was consummated I was on my own; there was no help. I was learning the business the hard way. Since I had owned several other businesses, I thought there was an industry standard. In my quest, I ran into Charles Baird at a seminar he presented. He said he would help after I read his book “The Millionaire Pool Man�. After purchasing the book and having read it more than twice, I met Charles and have been following his advice. I have his book on my desk as my reference bible. My future purchases of routes will be handled by Charles. I wish I had purchased my route from him as I have made many mistakes and have lost more than 50 clients in a six months period of owning my route.

I have purchased 2 routes through Charles at National Pool Route Sales. The Second route was a very, very large route. We have been implementing the steps he outlined in “The Millionaire Pool Man” to grow our business and improve the profitability of the company. So far, we have increased our Net Income by 50% and we still have several of the steps to go! Charles has been very helpful and has spent as much time as I have needed to help build my business. We have never encountered a business broker or pool broker who is more willing than Charles to give his time after a sale to assure our success. After speaking with Charles about his book I went ahead and ordered it. After recieving it and reading it through twice, I began implementing the steps he writes about. As a result, the income level has risen without any increase in labor to achieve it. Some of what is in the book I was already doing but not as effectively as I could have been. Charles has layed out the best, most efficient road map to success for the pool business that I have seen. The info in the book is without a doubt worth twice the price. Thanks Charles!

WOW! PASSION! PROFESSIONALISM! These were my favorite chapters! I wish every pool man would be forced to read these chapters! I couldn't stop laughing when Charles say's he has seen homeless people dress better than most pool men! HAAAA! It's no wonder people have been known to get up and leave his seminars. Oh well! If your to old to learn your to old!... Right Charles? Keep it up! This industry needs you bad! You have changed my life by changing the way I think! The business guide is EXCELLENT in that it focuses almost completely on business development and practices, which is a topic largely lacking in other books. Mr. Baird: I attended your seminar yesterday in Atlantic City. I actually asked you a question on whether to include a service of cleaning a customer’s pool cleaner when doing a chemical call. I found you to be very direct, honest (maybe brutally honest), and straight forward. What a pleasant change from all the bull out there. I will be buying your book today. After I have read it I am going to contact you about a possible consulting role for my business. I have actually put a few of your concepts in place and People have told me I am nuts. I was very sceptical about reading the book as to whether it would be beneficial to me as a pool business owner. The answer is YES YES YES. Its a must read for anyone looking to grow there business whether in pools or not. We have implemented a few of the recommendations already and we have seen quite positive results in a short space of time. Most of the time it is a case of trusting what is in the book and running with it-we have and so far things have definitely been more profitable. Read it! Trust it! Read it again, and implement it--it does work!
